Jane Juska

A Round Heeled Woman has been read on Woman's Hour, discussed in polite circles and won an award from the Guardian. The book is an autobiography written by a dignified, literary 67-year-old woman about her quest to have great sex with someone she liked. She placed an advert in the New York Review of Books and then wrote about her encounters. We voted for Jane's book because it provides such an eloquent description of how people who are not young, slim and fit get treated in the mating game. It was brave of Jane to go public about her sexual desires and even braver to describe the long and painful haul to get those desires satisfied. We believe that her book will initiate a consciousness of respect and sensitivity to eventually improve manners in 21st Century seduction.
